Spring, of course.

Exactly when, who knows? Spring will come inevitably. It always does. It always has.

When will the financial market recover? Who knows exactly but it always does and it always has. If you have gone into hibernation and cut back on everything to brace yourself and your company for winter, are you doing anything to prepare yourself for Spring?

This is a good time to review your business purpose, your strategic plan, your staff development,your recruitment strategy, your marketing plan, your product development. This is a good time to get rid of silos and waste. If fear is preventing you from using this time to prepare for Spring, then face the fear. If you are at risk, prepare a plan for dealing with this risk. You don’t need to be fearful, you just need to get on with minimizing your risk. If your fear is difficult to identify, either identify it and deal with it or ignore it and get on with using this time productively.

If you have competitors, maybe they are also fearful and in shrink mode so this is a good time to prepare for the recovery. If you don’t have competitors, this is an ideal time to be creative and improve everything.

So do you want to hibernate and wait for Winter to pass or use this time to prepare for an inevitable recovery? Spring will come. It always does. If Spring comes early, you are ready. If it comes late, you are still ready. It will come.
